Trending Topic: E-Money Lopez
Dolls and Gents,
meet E-Money. This gorgeous doll comes out of NY and can be considered a modern day renaissance woman. If it's dancing back-up for the Dai Burger, hosting some of NY's most righteous parties, or handling the haters, Ms. E-Money is a budding, young fashionista taking over NY one party, dance floor, or look book at a time.
Age: 20 years old but my body still feels like I'm 17
Reppin: NYC
Who is E-Money?
E-Money is craycray girllll! she's a combo of spunk and style. E-Money
isn't my alter-ego...it's more of a stage name that I go by. So it's
still the regular me :)
How would you describe your personal style?
My style is all over the place. I can't put it in one genre. One day
I'll wear everything studded and another day I'll look like a complete
boy with baggy jeans, a fitted, and some Mishka Keepwatch boxers pokin
out. But it's whatever inspires me for the day or night.
What's a regular day for you like?
My regular day consists of lounging in my house all day doin business
behind my macbook then having my bff come over to watch a movie, tell
secrets or pregame then we go out for the night.
What's it like runnin NY's urban party scene?
I wouldn't say I RUN Ny's scene just yet, but I'm slowly taking over
by hosting most of NY's most poppin parties along side of my rad ass
partners!
How's your dancing career going right now?
My dancing career is going good right now! I'm trying to go back to
school at Alvin Ailey where I studied in 2009 for ballet and modern.
But I've been doin more so of hip hop and back up dancing for Teyana
Taylor and DaiBurger. Also I was blessed to dance along side of Kaiti
Dangerkat of House of Dangerkat and Hesta Prynn, who just got off of a
Euro Tour with Tegan and Sara, it was so dope!
How's your modeling career going?
And for my modeling career, it's not so much a career for me because
I'm a shawty (5'6") so it's more of a hobby to me. I love posing and
being in front of a camera. Dancing has helped me so much with posing
just like a 5'10" model would. But I've done some "modeling" for
street wear lines such as 10 Deep and Mishka. I was also hyped to do a
4 page spread for a French fashion magazine called Modzik based in
Paris! So hopefully an agency will discover me!
Can you tell me about your 10 Deep Look Book experience?
The 10 Deep Summer 2010 Lookbook experience was poppppinnnn! To be
apart of something big like that made my heart beat rapid! I was 16
years old and seeing Billionaire Boys Club, Crooks and Castles, Hellz
Bellz, MOB, Stussy lookbooks or ads wishing I could do one some day
because I've always loved street fashion. So doing 10 Deeps shoot
really added the cherry on top!
Is it difficult to balance your modeling with your dancing career?
It's not really hard balancing modeling and dancing. Since I'm not
tall enough to model in most shoots or shows, I'm not really asked. I
only get asked if my friend wants to build her portfolio for
photography, so I'm more than likely to help him/her or if someone
specifically wants me for a shoot or video.
If you had to choose between the two, which one would you choose and why?
Easy! I'd choose dance! My mother danced and is a dance teacher still,
and my daddy was a breakdancer...so it's in my blood! I've been
dancing since I was 2. My main goal when I moved to NYC was to pursue
my talent that I had all along.
How do you deal with the haters?
Hatazzzz, oh wowww...I just brush them off hunnie! I give them the
hair flip. I've had really mean things said about me and rumors made
up. It hurt me of course because we're humans and not robots, but I
never let anyone see me down and weak and showed them that they can't
effect me. I just gave them the hair flip and a quick shimmy.
So what's in store for you in the next month or so?
Within the next month I'll be doing shows of course and hosting more
parties eventually. But I'm gonna step it up in everything! Fashion,
dance, modeling, marketing, and hopefully gettin a regular job (its
time I make some pocket change for rainy days)
What do you want people to remember about you?
I want people to remember me for being a fighter. People back home
told me I wouldn't make it and that I'm nothing and I have people now
in NYC who are hatin cause I'm doing something with my life and they
aren't, but I never gave up because I'm gonna keep fighting to the top
and not let anyone rain on my parade! :)
This girl is a fierce force to be reckoned with. I can't wait to see how bright her future's gonna be if it's dancing, more street modeling, or partying it up with the best of NY. Believe you me, E-Money is a name your not going to want to forget and remember Presdigous introduce you to her first.

The Resurrection of Female Rap
It had to be the 90's when the Hip Hop awards and the Soul Train Awards used to have actual female contenders in the FEMALE hip-hop category. Lil Kim, Da Brat, Missy Elliot, Amille, Charlie Baltimore.. good times, good times. Actually, I can't remember when labels stopped reppin' the girl power movement and went for the sex appeal of an r&b "singer" (I put it in quotes because we all know only 97.2% of them are truly singing without autotune). However, Associate Press has named Nicki Minaj the Joan of Arc of female hip hop. In an article, AP hip editor says that Nicki has rejevunated female hip hop. Here's the excerpt:
“Nicki’s flow is so creative that you can count on her delivering at least a few instant, easy-to-remember quotables, which is the key to having a successful verse on a pop or R&B song,” says Brendan Frederick, Deputy Editor at Complex Magazine. “[But] now she needs to drop a few hardcore records for the hip-hop base- like ‘I Get Crazy’ or ‘Itty Bitty Piggy’ from last year- and her buzz will definitely reach critical mass.”

Attack from the Last Girl on Earth
The new Optus campaign gives users of the Optus pre-paid service an opportunity to win tickets to Rihanna’s ‘Last Girl on Earth’ tour, which comes to Australia next year. The ad was shot in LA by Australian director David Gaddie, with post production done in Sydney. Again, I don't see how she can remain relevant when her album didn't go certified Gold and her tickets are selling for $10 bucks. But HEY! Can't knock her hustle.Side note* Does anyone out there really know how to spell this Cunt's name right?

I am a HUGE Cassie fan. I mean that girl's face is gorgeous not to mention her petite model frame makes me want to lose about 50 pounds. Well, Cassie introduced the paps last night to a new hair do. She chopped off the rest of her sensational blonde locks and is now rocking a bob. I don't know how you feel, but I miss the androgynous cut (prior to it being blonde). Which one do you prefer?Girl Next Door?

Death to Different!
Please don't get me wrong. I love people who dare to push the envelope. The individuals that partake in being who they are and not giving a fuck about what people are going to think or say. HOWEVER, these female pop-stars are pushing the "Dare to be Different" movement way to far. Beyonce just launched her new campaign for Dereon this week and I have to tell you, I would have rather seen her and her mom standing in some half-ass modelesque pose. I just don't buy Beyonce being very edgy. The shoot kind of came of a little Fredrick's of Hollywood. I mean do any of us buy the idea of Beyonce riding a motorcycle while wearing a 150k weave on her dome? I think not. The shoot was pretty much as generic as the clothing line itself.NEXT BITCH!

Diaster Child
So I don't care what anyone says, Mary-Kate and Ashley did rule the world during the 90's. Although they were twins, I always favored Mary-Kate more. She was more tom-boy like and seemed to be the more mischievous one. Plus, I just found her to be more amusing then her sister. Not only is she the designer for one of my favorite lines Elizabeth and James but she played in one of my favorite movies The Wackness (indie flick that came out in 2008 set in New York circa early 90s). I just received my copy of this month's Marie Claire and Miss Olsen graces the cover. The magazine includes a do-die-for spread of Mary-Kate and an article discussing who she is a woman today and how her past gives her insight to her future. Mary-Kate reveals, "I look at old photos of me, and I don't feel connected to them at all.” She even goes as far as to compare her stint as a child star to "monkey performers." Not only is the article pretty insightful but the photos are GORGEOUS! She has such an eerie beauty about her it's extremely mesmerizing.

Ciara in Paper Magazine
So Ciara seems to still be a relevant topic. I guess because she's LaLa and Kim K.'s lap dog. Anyways, you can find her in the latest issue of Paper Magazine. She talks about become a legend (HAHA), what she considers as her "guilty pleasure", and her feelings toward her video being banned on BET. Yes, believe it or not, the network that gave the world UnCut is banning the singer's new video "Ride". Good Job BET. Way to have some morals. Here are a few excerpts from the article.
On her ultimate goal as a musician
My ultimate goal for myself as an artist is to be known as an icon, a legend. I do hope to be very wealthy. Beyond just my career, I hope to create a legacy for my family that’s never been created before. And to be an icon, to be a legend one day. Tons of Grammy’s would be great one day. I hope to travel around the world and to meet every possible fan I can meet around the world. I would love to be an icon that’s so amazing and so strong that one day people can be like, “You can be the next Ciara.”
On Her Guilty Pleasures
I do love searching the Internet. I like looking at fun videos on YouTube, surfing some of the sites. Even when I do go on the gossip sites, I’m not really into reading comments unless the headline is good stuff then sometimes I’ll look. But I like looking at the photos, and just like looking at media in general. You know what I was watching last night? I love Forensic Files. I love that they show how they solve murder mysteries.
On her video being banned from BET
Well, it was unexpected for me. In my past experience with my videos with BET in particular, I’ve been used to cutting things out here and there. But when I heard it was banned and would never be played, it was definitely a surprise for me. I didn’t expect that. However, it’s just one of those things… I of course want my video to be played on all networks, but at this point it’s all good. Thank God for new technology and that there are so many ways for my fans to see my video.

Ode to Art
Not saying that the classics, Renoir, Monet, Picasso, etc. aren't incredibly beautiful and enchanting but let's be honest, it's 2010, no one knows exactly what direction or feeling was put into those paintings. I don't care what the cunts directing the tour say. However, I love raw artistry, the stuff that will probably never be featured in L'Ouvre (for you lost in translation, it's the museum from The Da Vinci Code) but a good drawing I can place on my wall and say "That's so effing righteous". Minni Havas happens to be one of those artist. So dolls, let me introduce to you, Minni Havas.Tell me Mrs. Obama don't look effing cunty! She's even fierce in an illustration! WORK!
