Death to Different!
Please don't get me wrong. I love people who dare to push the envelope. The individuals that partake in being who they are and not giving a fuck about what people are going to think or say. HOWEVER, these female pop-stars are pushing the "Dare to be Different" movement way to far. Beyonce just launched her new campaign for Dereon this week and I have to tell you, I would have rather seen her and her mom standing in some half-ass modelesque pose. I just don't buy Beyonce being very edgy. The shoot kind of came of a little Fredrick's of Hollywood. I mean do any of us buy the idea of Beyonce riding a motorcycle while wearing a 150k weave on her dome? I think not. The shoot was pretty much as generic as the clothing line itself.
